"R4M is an honesty machine."
One breath after it (this is what makes it proof, not a slogan): "Every euro is public in the ledger, every participant is one provable human, and the app itself admits what doesn't work yet — look, our own API says we still have zero external customers."
Rule: never say it without showing the proof in the same motion. "Honesty machine" invites "prove it" — and that's the strength: open the public ledger, show the API that publishes its own weaknesses. A slogan you can click stops being a slogan; it becomes evidence.
"R4M is the settlement rail that counts people, not devices — it proves someone is one real human (that they are one, never who — the identity is sealed away, not read in operation), and pays them with a ledger anyone can recount."
"The internet counts devices and accounts — and AI just made fake people free. R4M is a working settlement engine that solves the other half: one verified human, exactly once. We verify uniqueness through national eID; in day-to-day operation we use only a salted fingerprint, never a name — and the signed identity proof is kept sealed under a separate key, openable only under audit or lawful order. On top of that gate runs an honest money rail: funds must exist before any promise, every payment splits 88/8/4 on commercial flows, distributions to citizens carry 0% forever, and every cent lands on a public ledger anyone can recount. It runs today — you can click it right now."
1. The problem. "Every payout system on the internet has the same hole: it can't tell one person from five accounts. Bots fill surveys, referral bonuses get farmed, citizen consultations get gamed. AI made this free."
2. The gate. "R4M verifies a person once against a national eID — in Belgium that's itsme, the login 7 million people already use. Then, in day-to-day operation, we keep only a salted fingerprint — never a name — while the signed identity proof is sealed under a separate key, opened only under audit or lawful order. Uniqueness preserved; identity sealed, never used operationally. We can prove that someone is one real person — never who they are."
3. The rail. "Money before promises: work and rewards only exist against deposited funds. Commercial payments split 88% to the earner, 8% platform, 4% public partner. Distributions to citizens — dividends, aid, premiums — carry 0%, forever, by design."
4. The proof. "Don't believe us — recount us. Every cent is a line on a public ledger, no login, no names. Machines meet a real HTTP 402 payment wall (Coinbase's x402 standard). Settlements carry receipts on a public chain that even we can't rewrite."
5. What runs today. "This isn't a deck. The engine is live: automated test suite (count live at /api/public/status; 162 at the 03-07-2026 snapshot), a 12-step live-economy demo, a card payment proven end-to-end in Stripe TEST mode (live keys deliberately blocked pending the legal answer), dollar and euro settlement adapters ready. Belgium first — the eID density is here — then the same rail with a different identity root per country."
The ask (Circle): "We're applying for the Circle grant: milestone one is the same loop on mainnet with real money — funded pool, verified task, split settlement, micro-dividend — publicly recountable. R4M makes stablecoins do something no bank rail does: pay verified humans, provably once."
• Why us / why now: "35 years selling to real audiences taught me distribution; the engine shows how we build — versioned, tested, honest. AI agents are becoming buyers and workers this year; the human-uniqueness layer is the missing counterpart, and eID infrastructure (itsme today, EU Digital Identity Wallet from 2026-27) just made it possible to build it privacy-first."
• Business model: "8% platform share on commercial flows already runs in the engine. B2B verification is the P&L: cities and research firms pay per verified unique participant (yearly licence + per-check fee) — because fraud in panels and consultations is their daily cost. Citizen distributions stay at 0%; governments buy licences, citizens never pay."
• Honesty as architecture: "Our public API says what works and what doesn't. Money owed but not yet settled shows as pending — we never fake a success. Our own marketing numbers come from the same endpoint the auditor reads."
• Moat (the honest version): "The components are known — the x402 protocol is Coinbase's, eID is the state's. The moat is the combination plus contracts: identity-broker agreements, references, certifications, and a network of verified humans that agents will pay to reach. We claim the combination, not the invention of the parts."
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| "Why can't Stripe build this?" | "Stripe verifies payment credentials, not human uniqueness. Nothing in a card proves one-person-once. We sit on the identity side — rooted in state eID — and rent licensed rails (Stripe included) for money movement. We're a layer they'd plug in, not compete with." |
| "Users?" | "Honest answer: pre-revenue, founder-tested, zero external buyers yet — our own API says so publicly. What exists is a working engine and a first sales line (cities, research panels). We publish the number that hurts; that's the point of R4M." |
| "Privacy/GDPR?" | "Hash-only design: no names, no birthdates, no tracking, no cookies. The salted fingerprint can't be reversed to a person. GDPR analysis documented; the identity root is the state's own eID, so assurance comes from the source." |
| "What if the eID provider says no?" | "Per-country root ladder: itsme is the Belgian plug, not the architecture. EU Digital Identity Wallet becomes a legal right for every European; passport-chip and bank-ID are fallbacks. The rail never changes; the plug does." |
| "Isn't this a crypto project?" | "Users see euros and a bank cash-out — no wallet, no tokens, ever (it's enforced by an automated jargon test). Stablecoins are invisible plumbing for settlement receipts and agent payments. Fiat legs run through licensed partners; we never become a payment institution." |
| "How do you relate to KYC — replacement or what?" | "Opposite and complementary. KYC asks who you are and stores it; I prove that you're one real unique human and store nothing. KYC keeps the regulator happy; I solve what KYC can't — the same person with ten wallets. Not a replacement — the layer KYC is missing. The bank knows the name; I count the human, adding no extra PII." |
| "For a crypto bank: are you a payment method, a custodian, or what?" | "A security/trust layer and an API — not a payment method, not a custodian, not a KYC replacement. x402 and stablecoins move the value; we prove one unique human is on the other side, eID-rooted and EU-legal, with a public ledger. We sit beside your KYC, adding no extra PII to your stack. Think background-screening for a bank: not a bank, holds no accounts, just the 'this person is real and unique' assurance layer." |
| "What's unique — really?" | "The narrow, defensible claim: a settlement rail where every beneficiary is a verified unique human, with a publicly recountable ledger and a machine-payable 402 door, live in one system. Each part exists somewhere; the working combination is what you can click today." |
